Victorian Cycles, Wheels of Change is a fascinating documentary about the bicycle's coming of age and its tremendous impact on society. It is filled with images of a by-gone era, and the people who embraced its change.

I give it 1 thumb-shifter up. This documentary gives you history on early bicycles and cycling as a whole but specifically Colorado and the Denver area's cycling history.

A non-profit organization that focuses on events for the disabled, World T.E.A.M. Sports drew an array of veterans from the U.S. and Vietnam, as well as celebrity riders like Greg La Monde and Senator John Kerry. Those without use of their legs used special hand-powered bikes, while blind riders pedaled from the back of tandem bikes. What is immediately apparent on the veterans' arrival in Vietnam is that their biggest handicaps are the ghosts of their pasts. Past enemies ride as one team in peace across a landscape they once killed to stay alive on.

We watched it but not rating it. Not that much of a bike movie.

Author Rob Penn travels around the world collecting hand-built parts for his dream bicycle and charts the social history of one of mankind's greatest inventions.

I give it 2 thumbshifters up. Excellent documentary. Entertaining and informative.

It's a good movie but I was expecting more footage of the riders riding. I guess I thought the riders would be filming but instead it's the camera chasing after the riders interviewing them whenever they cross paths. I give it 1 thumbshifter up.

My parents also sit through this movie.

I received this as a gift for Christmas and watched it after Christmas dinner with my parents. It's a documentary covering the 2009 Leadville Trail 100 race.

I give it two thumbshifters up. Wasn't too long or drawn out. Not real technical. Great scenery. It features Lance Armstrong but it wasn't all about Lance Armstrong.

Flipped a movie about young love. Not going to review this movie as it wasn't about bikes but there were quite a few old bikes throughout the movie. Check out the trailer...

A 1986 movie about BMX racing.

"It's going to take a lot more than skill for Cru Jones to conquer the toughest BMX challenge in the world. It's going to take a miracle."

I thought this was a great feel-good movie. It has all the makings of a good movie like... boy meets girl, good guy vs bad guy, underdog takes on top dog, a single mom, a small town, boy & girl fall in love, plus tons of stunt riding, BMX racing and 80s cheez. It even stars Mr Hand. I give it 2 thumbshifters up.


Sleeping beauty wasn't awake during enough of the movie to fairly rate it. Maybe later.

Side note: The Star of the movie was born in the same area and the same year that I was.

Fat Bike. A 27 minute long documentary about winter bike riding in Alaska and the Susitna 100 bike race. Found it on Amazon.com.

I found this short documentary pretty interesting. Briefly covers the evolution of the "Fat Bike" and winter riding & racing in Alaska. I give it 2 thumbshifters up.
